Dan Stauffer Awarded CCIM Designation

SAN MARCOS, Texas—Dan Stauffer, Vice President of Marketing and Real Estate for McCoy’s Building Supply, has been awarded the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation by the CCIM Institute, one of the leading commercial real estate associations in the world. The designation was awarded October 16 during the Institute’s meeting in Chicago.

Fewer than 10,000 real estate professionals worldwide hold a CCIM designation. Of the estimated 150,000 commercial real estate practitioners in North America, approximately six percent currently hold the CCIM designation. 

Stauffer was among the group of commercial real estate professionals who earned the designation by passing the Institute’s Comprehensive Examination, the final element in a two-year designation process.

Stauffer’s role with McCoy’s Building Supply involves overseeing the management of approximately 90 leased and owned properties, located throughout five states.

The CCIM designation is awarded to commercial real estate professionals upon successful completion of a graduate-level education curriculum and presentation of a portfolio of qualifying industry experience.  The curriculum addresses: financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis and investment analysis – the cornerstones of commercial investment real estate.  CCIMs are recognized experts in commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, asset management, valuation, and investment analysis. 

CCIM Designees include professionals who work in brokerage, investment and development, the corporate environment, property management, appraisal and related segments of commercial real estate.  The Chicago-based CCIM Institute is an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors® and is the governing body of the largest commercial real estate network in the world.
